12.25.08: Happy Holiday's, Everybody!

12.16.08: Marvel Masterpieces III
Just to let you all know, the third (and forseeably final) set of Marvel Masterpieces, from Upperdeck, hit stores today! I did 84 cards for the set (33 in color, the rest in black and white). Keep an eye out for it!

10.06.08: My Sketchbook is Ready to GO!
It took me awhile to finally get everything set up, but I finally got my 2008 sketchbook printed and ready to go. It's 16 pages of black and white sketchwork, a fully color cover (interior and exterior) and a color image on the inside back cover. The back has an add for Ka-Blam, a digital print-on-demand service. There is also a blank page left in the back of the book for a sketch. All the information is listed on the sketchbook ordering and information page. Enjoy!

08.13.08: SPAM!
Although it's not uncommon for mass spammers to usurp the return email information of an individual (or otherwise spam-free web entity, like Frayedlogic.com) in order to get through spam filters, I have been hit BIG time today. In less than 12 hours, I received over 8500 emails that were from auto responders or bounced back email responses that were apparently sent out by mass spammers who stole my email info and used it as the return info for their spamming operations.

I know some people do tend to check the domain that spam is sent from (often times to report them as spammers, even though they legitimately aren't), so this message is primarily for those who aren't simply lashing out at the spam (I admit, it enrages me to that point too, but being aware that spammers employ some really dirty tricks, I'm sure more often than not the email address that is the supposed "originator" of the spam is just as much a victim of it as the recipient). I am sorry to anyone that has received such spam supposedly from this domain. I don't apologize however, as I am not the one sending it. This is my tenth year online (yes, frayedlogic.com is really 10 years old!) and the closest I've ever come to mass emailing was an update mailing list I had a few years back that I abandoned because nobody signed up for it. I have always had an anti-spam policy, and I find it incredibly dispicable that spammers use such tactics as this to push their unwanted crud upon the internet public. To those receiving spam, it's a huge annoyance, but to the people and company's that they piggyback on (often times without said users notice due to their own spam filters), it's a whole other level of inconvenience (since spammers are often virtually untraceable, and oftentimes the entire domain gets blocked/filtered by an ISP even though they aren't the originators of the spam, a move which, while not the ISP's fault, can still cost a legitimate business/internet entity a lot of business).

Email headers can be forged, but many ISP's do have ways to track emails beyond just the headers, so I urge you if you do report the spam, include all the headers so that I, and frayedlogic.com don't get unfairly penalized for the malicious works of a rogue spammer. Thank you.
