I like to consider myself a diverse artist. I have done realistic (not photorealistic though), comic book exaggerated style (my forte), even cartoony. I've attempted manga style, and colored pencils. I started coloring with markers, and eventually on the computer (mainly with Photoshop, but I have used Adobe Illustrator to color some pieces as well). So in fairness, I decided the best way to view my online portfolio was to divide it up into appropriate sections.
- Pencils and Inks: Every image, no matter how it ends, must start with a pencil sketch. Sometimes I do more details, and will finish a piece in pencils (they are very versatile). Sometimes, I'll leave them a little rough and finish them with ink (or ink them before I color them).
- Colors: This section is mostly 'mainstream' colors. Comic colors, and standard marker/computer colors. Coloring is probably my weakest area, but sometimes I come up with a winner!
- Alternative Style: This is my 'experimental' section. As I said, I like to try new things. You'll see some non-mainstream art, colored pencil work, marker paintings, even computer created graphics. You just never know what I'm going to do next!
- Sequential Art: This is almost exclusively comic book pages (and the occassional self contained comic strip). I haven't done too many sequentials, but I'm working on more. It'll be good to archive them here, as you can see how I progress.
